Keep Better ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Keep Better Android and web experiences.

We collect the following information to provide our service:
- Account information: Your Google account name, email address, and profile photo — collected when you sign in with Google.
- Note content: The titles, text content, checklist items, and metadata of notes you create. Locked notes are stored encrypted.
- Purchase information: A purchase token from Google Play is used to verify your Premium purchase. We do not store payment details.
- Device information: Basic information such as device type and OS version, used for debugging and improving the app.
- Reminder information: Reminder time, repeat setting, and related note metadata when you choose to set a reminder.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To sync your notes securely across devices using Firebase Firestore.
- To authenticate you and associate your data with your account.
- To verify your Premium purchase via Google Play.
- To provide version history and snapshot features.
- To improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns.
- To schedule reminders and show notifications when you grant notification permission.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Locked notes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored — even we cannot read their contents without your PIN.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication — Google sign-in (Google LLC)
- Firebase Firestore — Cloud data storage (Google LLC)
- Firebase Cloud Functions — Purchase verification (Google LLC)
- Google Play Billing — In-app purchase processing (Google LLC)

5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual notes from within the app at any time. To request full account and data deletion, contact us at info@keepbetter.app.
6. Children's Privacy
Keep Better is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
